ander is home to the national headquarters of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) which is famous for its outdoor survival and education courses offered in the Rocky Mountains and in many other regions.  Lander is the county seat and is truly the most historic portion of Fremont County.  It is a treasure to visitors and residents alike.
